A senior at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, Ms. Tellers likes to make jokes about tourists who slow down traffic in her home town, Cambria, California; eat Walt Whitman; read Cadbury eggs; skateboard, surf, and drink beer, sometimes all at the same time. ''I love beer,'' she says, ''because it goes well with pretty much everything.'' She claims to be a descendant of William Wallace, of Braveheart.
