Louisa May Alcott

(1832 – 1888)

Ms. Alcott was an American novelist who was addicted to opium. She is best known for the 1868 novel Little Women, which is loosely based on her childhood adventures with her three sisters, all of whom were in fact the prettiest pygmies you ever did see.
