V.S. Frimmit (1963 - )

Originally from Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Veronica Stratton Frimmit was reborn on the sun-kissed beaches of the Bahamas. "I was 10 years old and dining on a lunch of plump sea grapes, when I cut my toe on a bottle. It was a beautiful bottle, and I thought it was the I Dream of Jeannie bottle. But it wasn't, so I got pissed," said the poet (National Geographic Swimsuit Issue, 1992). Later, Frimmit achieved national acclaim with the essay, "My Thoughts Are Peristaltic." Despite the often earthy subject matter of many of Frimmit's poems and plays (which include Pick N' Flick, The Man with the Eye Goobers, and Why I Love Yoga), she claims to have very delicate sensibilites.
