Justin Courter (1968 - )

''I don't write poetry,'' says Mr. Courter, author of the poetry collection The Death of the Poem and Other Paragraphs (Main Street Rag, 2008) and the novel Skunk: A Love Story (Omnidawn, 2003). ''I do my small part to undermine the farcical industry that people like to call poetry.'' According to Mr. Courter, his favorite German philospher has not yet been born, but, says he, ''She will outline the steps that need to be taken for human beings to free themselves from their enslavement to machines.''
