Hilaire Belloc (1870 - 1953)

Joseph Hilaire Pierre Rene Belloc, known to close friends as Joseph Louis Hilaire Pierre Rene Jonathan Courtney Belloc, was one of the most prolific French-born writers in England during the early 20th century. He was once married to a woman named Matilda, who was said to have had an affair with Belloc's brother . . . before mysteriously dying in a fire.
