Apple Dickinson (1991 – )

The great great-great-great-grand-stepniece of Emily Dickinson, Ms. Apple Dickinson is indeed great. At 17, she researched her genealogy and found her connection to the famous poet. Taking a sabbatical from her senior year of high school, Dickinson wrote her first chapbook, "Emily & Me" (2009), which was followed quickly by "Me & Emily: A Reply” (2009), for which she won the Susan Scrappelstein Onion Loaf Award from Ruby Tuesday State University Press. Her first full-length collection, Knots of Hope, Slices of Faith, will be published early next year. She currently works and dreams at the Little Italy Pizzeria on Route 378.
