Callie Cardamon b. 1887

Ms. Cardamon writes poetry primarily to amuse Alice Maupin. "She has more money than I do," notes Ms. Cardamon, "and if I write something that makes her laugh, she buys me dinner." In college she dined from a Leonard Nimoy breakfast tray. "I also slept with a pose-able Spock doll as recently as a year ago," says Ms. Cardamon, who also has a 40-year-old stuffed chimpanzee.
