TO THE BUG WHO PERISHED IN MY DRINK
by Daniel Thomas Moran
TO the bug who just per---
ished in my drink:
You have caused me
to take...
a pause….
for a think…
I might have ad---
vised that before
you begin it,
Better you should
die of the drink
rather than
in it.
Though liquor
can be our mortal di--
version, it’s surely
quicker n simpler
to die by im--
mersion.
While I con--
sider You now my
sad little ghost,
Howzabout
one more round
for a toast?
To all those cre--
atures both
humble and great.
and
To the plea--
sures of sha--
ring a drink
with a mate.
