LOVE
by Alex Galper
DON'T you tell me that Love is salami,
Stinking herring,
Or a heavy and spotty watermelon.
Love is a French Onion Soup,
Cutlets A La Kiev melting in my mouth
Or unforgettable Siberian pelmeni
Don't you tell me that Love is a dull hammer,
A cheap screw-driver, or a foolish point-tool.
Love is a pulsating electric drill, cheerful lathe,
Or a quiet and faithful soldering pen.
