IN the middle of the night
a fat cat crawled on top of me,
damn pet couldn't even walk
mad as hell, I yearned to take her by the tail
and bang her head-first against the wall,
and suddenly I realized -- it is me!
disgusting and pathetic,
unable to catch the Mouse of Stable Job or the Fish of True Love
because of overindulgence and laziness.
so, just in case, I fed the poor thing
a huge piece of tasty lamb.
