THE mind-screeching melody
Of my screaming alarm clock
Disturbing my peaceful sleep,
Disrespectful to my needs, not
Letting me finish my dreams.
Snapping me back into
My dull consciousness.
Would it be bad if I
Smashed it into many pieces?
Who cares if I brutally
Disemboweled that annoying,
Irritating, relentless fiend?
Erratically tossing its guts,
Spilling wires on the floor.
Laughing while I hear its'
Last small useless bleep.
It would be a national holiday.
