SONATAS TO ORPHEUS, THREE
Orpheus in Suburbia
by Graham Everett
LOW-life wannabes think this town's a ghetto.
They dress in FUBU threads. The little princesses
sport puffy jackets and tool around in Jeep
Wranglers their parents paid for without a flinch.

think we don't know what memory is for
or how concise words can get
Young Turks play the hound
on the concrete sidewalks of strip malls
where real animals used to run
