Balloon Boy in the Fifth Dimension

by Joe ''King'' Lee

I would never fly in that helium balloon
There's no way I'd do it 'cause I ain't no buffoon
So we went on all these morning shows, I said my dad's a kook
And then I puked!

Tucked, up and away
In my beautiful, my safe and warm
Bedroom

Everyone thought I was airborne, or even dead
Or else in some attic box scared out of my head
But my dad thought stardom comes to you with just a little pluck
He's such a schmuck!

Tucked, up and away
In my beautiful, my safe and warm
Bedroom

Indicted by local air authorities
Who gave chase to our Mylar torpedo
And didn't know to doubt my dad's sanity
At least I didn't get hurt
And now I'm on a t-shirt

Me, I'm just a kid, just an innocent, you see
I hated my 15 minutes of infamy
What becomes of me, my mom, my wacky family
Please, let me be!

Tucked, up and away
In my beautiful, my safe and warm
Bedroom!
