Dog Poetry

by Phillip Lee

I bring her outside
The wind whistles
The bells chime
The birds chirp
A fire engine roars
She looks around trying to find a spot
She tenses and listens
Then moves on
The noise continues
She can't get comfortable
She gets agitated
Walking from spot to spot
Finally when it quiets down enough
She settles down and relieves with ease

Who says dogs don't understand humans?
