Mom + Me

by Thaddeus Living

WE'RE not so different mom and me
I just turned seven, she's thirty-three
I’m getting over the chicken pox
And she just received her first Botox,
I have a spot that no one knows
She wears nothing under her clothes,
I like to play house in the backyard
She likes to use dad’s credit card,
She doesn’t like our old dog Rover
I hate the ''uncles'' we have sleeping over,
She says the '80s were just a blur
When I grow up, I’m gonna be just like her.
