Gemini Jim and I

(I bet he gets that all the time)

by Marybeth Niederkorn, Poet Extraordinaire

Gemini Jim had a story to tell
And what a storyteller was he!
With a gun and a dress and a special smell
he'd captivate crowds--and me.

Gemini Jim couldn't write or spell
He didn't kill bears or drown the fleas
But oh that man had a story to sell
And he wouldn't tell it for free

But then I paid that man a buck
And he told me a tale.
I'd tell it to you here, but fuck!
That ship, my friend, has sailed.
